This post will be all about my feigned interest in sports. Going to school with 90% Chicagoans, you’re bound to hear more than a few Cubs vs Sox fights. But of course, the people from the St. Louis area get upset too and add in a few “Go Cards!” Thankfully, Illinois only has one NFL football team (Da Bears) and I don’t have to worry about being embroiled in any of those fights.
Whenever this topic comes up, I quickly say “Go Mariners!” or “Go Seahawks” and quickly disengage from the conversation. I often wonder if this has kept me friends or lost me friends. Do people think I’m making fun of them?
Proud to say that the Gonzaga Bulldogs are rated this year! (Washington doesn’t have a basketball team to even pretend to be proud of…)
